  • Machine Learning Model

    Language: Python

    Trained and validated a Random Forest Algorithm on images of handwriting to detect features of Dyslexia in handwriting samples. The model achieved 98% accuracy when assessed with standard metrics.

  • Disaster Recovery Robot

    Language: Lua Platform: CoppeliaSim

    Created a 3D simulation of a BubbleRob robot trained to detect obstacles and trapped earthquake victims in order to construct an internal map and report to rescue teams to assist in rescue efforts.

  • Vehicle Routing Problem

    Language: Python (No external libraries or classes allowed)

    Applied a Nearest Neighbor Algorithm to a manually constructed hash table of packages with several constraints to build a vehicle route which successfully delivered all packages within the allotted time and total mileage constraints.

  • Advanced Data Management

    Language: PostgreSQL

    Created a business report from a database with a detailed and summary table, as well as user-defined functions, triggers to transform and populate data, and stored procedures to refresh data.

  • Multithreaded App Modification and deployment

    Front End: Angular Back End: Java Tools: Docker, AWS, Spring Frameworks

    Modified a Spring application to include multithreaded location-based language translations, timezone-based message display, and currency exchange. Containerized the app with Docker and mock-deployed using AWS.

  • Back-end modernization

    Language: Java Framework: Spring

    Performed full migration of legacy back-end to modern Spring Framework with added front-end input validation and REST controller class with post mapping.

  • Web-Based Inventory application

    Languages: Java, HTML, CSS Frameworks: Spring

    Customized a Spring web-app to track and update inventory for a small music business with purchase and inventory min/max validation. Created an HTML interface and About page for the application.

  • Student System Migration

    Language: C++

    Created an application to maintain rosters of students enrolled in a given course and their associated information using objects, arrays, and functions.

  • Fantasy RPG

    Language: C# Platform: Unity

    Currently designing and building a unique fantasy RPG. In the process of designing the internal systems and soon to begin developing a small, playable demo.

  • Hands-on experience building full-stack web applications with RESTful APIs, Angular + React Frameworks, Spring/Boot Frameworks, Java, HTML, CSS, JS, both SQL and NoSQL databases, and more.

  • I am proficient in C++, Python, and Java, and have experience working in other languages, such as Lua and C# as well.

  • I am familiar with and have used various tools such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

  • I am certified in Linux Essentials and ITIL Foundations, and have practiced Agile methodologies.

I’ve always had a passion for both creativity and problem solving, but I never knew what I wanted to be until I discovered software engineering, where I combine both of my passions to offer robust, visually appealing solutions to any problem. I was fortunate enough to be able to leave the field of education in favor of furthering my own education and diving headfirst into the world of software development.

My final undergraduate project was to build a machine learning model. Having truly enjoyed that experience, I am now in the process of obtaining a Masters in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Now, I am ready to join any team, equipped with knowledge and experience working with many industry standard languages, methods, and tools. I am eager to take on new challenges and projects and learn as much as I can from the talented software engineers around me.
